I have been working in the behavioral health field since 1989 and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of New Jersey, as well as National Board Certified Counselor. I have had direct experience in virtually every continuum of behavioral health services, including inpatient, crisis, outpatient, partial care, supported employment, and mental health intensive outpatient. In addition, I have experience in both clinical and supervisory roles and continue to work with diverse populations.
I believe the foundation of my approach is client-centered, believing that through therapeutic rapport change is possible. This foundation has allowed me to draw from many disciplines including CBT, mindfulness, and skill building areas, such as communication and boundary setting to decision making skills. Since becoming a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher, I became open to the real possibility of encouraging yoga and teaching breath work as a means to help manage moods, sleep disturbance, stress and reactivity.
In February of 2015 I joined Family Empowerment Associates providing adolescent, adult, couples and family counseling to empower individuals to embrace the moment and aspire to live the fullest lives possible.
The company is Seawolf Yoga LLC offering yoga to all levels and abilities and counseling services.
